“After The Cola Wars…”

Ah, the Cola Wars. More than just a reference in “We Didn’t Start The Fire,” this constant fighting between soft drink giants has left behind many broken hearts and cavity-filled teeth. But what of a world that exists after Coke and Pepsi have finished duking it out? What might such a land look like once the dest and carbonation has settled?

This very odd Dr. Pepper commercial suggests a different future thriving in wake of such devastation. Basically combining the creature-infested cantina scene from STAR WARS with some MAD MAX postapocalyptic types, the soda advertisement shows a different path for the 1980s’ consumer. (Weirdly enough, Dr. Pepper is made by Coke in some parts of the world and Pepsi in other parts of the world. Truly the Switzerland of beverages.)
