Conan Week—Driving Lessons

On Thursday, June 24, Conan O’Brien will record his last talk show on TV. The comedy giant (and almost literal giant?) already has his own popular podcast network, and there will be more projects in the future. But in honor of this occasion particular phase’s ending, Afternoon Delights will be featuring various Conan O’Brien-centric clips/videos/whatnots.

Today’s installment is a great bit from his TBS show, Conan…but it’s actually a sequel to ANOTHER great segment. (What a twist!) O’Brien seeks to help Diana Chang, a member of his staff, practice driving as she prepares to get her license. There’s various tomfoolery and some shenanigans, but when the pair pick up two more passengers is when the hijinks truly ensue. It’s a tribute to the way that these remotes are conceived, executed, and edited by O’Brien and his staff that these are so enjoyable; especially as I am not a big fan of one of the special guests, but works terrifically in these segments.

If you haven’t seen it, I believe you’ll truly enjoy this playful video that goes in all sorts of unexpected directions. And if you have seen it before, I strongly suggest you watch it again just to provide 11 minutes of silliness into your day.
