Look: I love me some weird videos, or old timey clips, or unexpected music. All good stuff. But sometimes you just want to be slightly creeped out while kind of learning something and mostly tuning out for six minutes. That’s where this How It’s Made video on rubber gloves comes into play.

It will not shock anyone to learn that this is an incredibly mundane and majorly automated process. But what may surprise people is that a good portion of the manufacturing gloves makes it look like some Seussian machine or a contraption worthy of Willy Wonka himself. These cartoonish hands spinning and dipping like a mix between a whimsical device and the stuff of disembodied nightmares. Waving at you as they pass on by, dripping with bleach and endless productivity.
