Super Bowl XL Hummer Commercial (2006)

Today's Afternoon Delights is a sweet slice of craven capitalism. It’s actually a pretty fun ad that’s also fairly disturbing in its own right, not just for societal implications. Hummer’s ad for Super Bowl XL (that’s Super Bowl 40 for those, like me, who can’t read Roman numerals) aired in February 2006 during the game between Seattle Seahawks and Pittsburgh Steelers.

It makes sense for such a physical, brutal game as football to be paired with a commercial featuring an unstoppable, destructive beast. Or is it? The answer…may surprise you. And kind of gross you out. But the point is, this advertisement for Hummer’s H3 features some giant monsters in action. Enjoy!
