Jeremy Lowe: BINGO HELL (2021)

What It Is: In the Barrio of Oak Springs live a strong and stubborn group of elderly friends who refuse to be gentrified. Their leader, Lupita, keeps them together as a community, a family. But little did they know, their beloved Bingo hall is about to be sold to a much more powerful force than money itself.

Where It Is: Amazon Prime

Why You Should Watch It: BINGO HELL is a supernatural morality tale of gentrification and greed. Featuring Argento-esque cinematography, a killer soundtrack, and likable/realistic characters this is a must see film. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!”

Khayla McGowan: iZombie (2015—2019)

What It Is: Liv Moore is a medical resident with a promising career and a fiancé, but when she goes to a boat party, things go horribly wrong: she gets turned into a zombie after getting scratched by one. Now, Liv has traded her job for a job at the morgue, broken off her engagement, and completely changed her life. At the morgue, after eating the brain of a murder victim, Liv gets visions that can be used to piece together her murder. But she struggles because she is unable to share her true identity with her family and friends.

Where It Is: Netflix

Why You Should Watch It: “Think The Walking Dead meets Body of Proof meets Castle and you've got the perfect combination for a dramedy buddy cop series and that's iZombie! I love this show and have rewatched it multiple times without fail. The characters care about each other, there's a uniquely culinary experience in every episode, and there's enough knee-jerk comedy to keep the laughs coming.”

Rob Dean:  WRATH OF MAN (2021)

What It Is: Mysterious and wild-eyed, a new security guard for a cash truck surprises his co-workers when he unleashes precision skills during a heist. The crew is left wondering who he is and where he came from. Soon, the marksman's ultimate motive becomes clear as he takes dramatic and irrevocable steps to settle a score.

Where It Is: Amazon Prime

Why You Should Watch It: “With the notable exception of THE MAN FROM U.N.C.L.E., most Guy Ritchie-directed films have been pretty dreadful for me since SNATCH. With great hesitation I watched WRATH OF MAN—and loved it. There are missteps and clunky plot elements, but it’s a great crime thriller that blends GET CARTER with DEN OF THIEVES to deliver incredible violence in impressive action sequences all fueled by Jason Statham’s stone cold badassery.”

Kiley Fox: YOURS, MINE AND OURS (1968)

What It Is: When a widower with ten children marries a widow with eight, can the 20 of them ever come together as one big happy family? From finding a house big enough for all of them and learning to make 18 school lunches, to coping with a son going off to war and an unexpected addition to the family, YOURS, MINE AND OURS attempts to blend two families into one and hopes to answer the question Is bigger really better?

Where It Is: Tubi

Why You Should Watch It: “This version feels more down to Earth and cozy than its 2005 remake. I've loved this movie since I was a kid. Henry Fonda explaining what love is to his teenage daughter as he's coming down the stairs will always stick with me. Lucille Ball is a treasure as always.”

Alexis M. Collazo: MARTYRS (2008)

What It Is: Lucie is plagued by reoccurring nightmares of when she was abducted and tortured in an abandoned slaughterhouse. Determined to overcome her trauma, she enlists fellow abuse survivor, Anna to help her enact revenge. Finding their picture in the local paper, Lucie tracks down her captors, but Anna questions Lucie’s sanity as she slowly spirals into madness.

Where It Is: Shudder

Why You Should Watch It: “It’s hard to describe what a wild ride this movie takes you on. It constantly surprised me taking some really twisted turns (no pun intended). I will be thinking about it for a long time.”
