Each week, Neon Splatter contributors offer up some viewing options found on streaming (U.S. unless otherwise noted). Movies, TV shows, specials, and more. New and old, from all sorts of genres and nations. Most importantly, we deem them worthy of your time.

Khayla McGowan: CREEP (2014)

What It Is: A young videographer answers an online ad for a one-day job in a remote town to record the last messages of a dying man. When he notices the man's odd behavior, he starts to question his intentions.

Where It Is: Netflix

Why You Should Watch It: “I love a good found footage film and this one has the added effect of only two onscreen actors making it feel even more claustrophobic. The performances here got me early on and I think it was the first movie in a while that I didn't pause or allow myself to get distracted during it!”

Jeremy Lowe: HUMANOIDS FROM THE DEEP (1980)

What It Is: Humanoid sea creatures start killing a fishing town's residents, and raping their women. It's up to the townsfolk and a visiting biologist to fight back and fend them off.

Where It Is: Tubi

Why You Should Watch It: “I'm genuinely surprised in myself that I had never seen this Roger Corman produced classic before. I was shocked at how socially conscious HUMANOIDS FROM THE DEEP is for a creature feature made in the early ‘80s. Tackling issues of race, gender, and environmental threats in a B-movie was truly impressive. A smart story combined with great acting, and cool practical effects make this film a must watch. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!”

Kiley Fox: THE TRIP (2010)

What It Is: Steve Coogan has been asked by The Observer to tour the country's finest restaurants, but after his girlfriend backs out on him he must take his best friend and source of eternal aggravation, Rob Brydon.

Where It Is: Tubi

Why You Should Watch It: “Steve Coogan and Rob Brydon have fantastic chemistry together. I love road trip movies, because they are rarely about the trip itself as much as they are about the people on it growing together. The dry, sometimes bitter humor is British to the nines, and this movie always makes me laugh and feel better about life when I'm hating my own.”

Rob Dean:  SWORN TO JUSTICE (1996)

What It Is: After attackers kill her sister and nephew, a female psychologist becomes a defense witness by day and an avenger by night.

Where It Is: Tubi

Why You Should Watch It: “There’s like eight plots stuffed into the two plot bag that is this movie and it is glorious for it. A sexy thriller/supernatural vigilante story feels like if GHOST RIDER had partial nudity and some genuinely impressive martial arts. Add in a weird cameo by Walter Koenig, this Cynthia Rothrock film is a bugnuts fun time.”
