FRANK & EMMET (2021)

No, you’re crying!

Directed by Carlos Fernandez Puertolas (who also wrote it, with contributions from Jason Spencer Galsworthy), FRANK & EMMET is a short film from 2021 that is an incredibly effective use of 12 minutes to tell a very sweet story of lifelong friends. The synopsis is pretty simple:

The story of two life-long friends and show-business partners who, after weeks of drifting apart, sit together to have a much-needed conversation. Their friendly dialog takes a turn when they address head-on the one thing they've never talked about: One of them is a puppet.

The two main actors, Paul Eiding as Frank and Brian Michael Jones as Emmet, are amazing and create a real sense of a relationship in a very short amount of time. This short is absolutely worthy of your attention and I can’t wait to see what the filmmakers do next.
