“GHOSTBUSTERS by André De Shields”

I’ve written about this before and, spoiler alert, I’m probably gonna write about this again. Why? Because it’s one of my favorite scenes in 1984’s GHOSTBUSTERS re-enacted by national treasure André De Shields who plays all of the parts in iconic fashion as only the living legend can. What is better in life than that?

The stalwart Broadway icon recreated the scene in the Mayor’s office under the direction of Ryan O’Leary, for the larger project OUR GHOSTBUSTERS REMAKE, in which multiple teams each took a scene or segment of the film and remade it how they saw fit, eventually become it’s only loosely connected movie.

While OUR ROBOCOP REMAKE is better over all, this sequence is just too damn fun to pass by. Plus one should seize any chance to sing the accolades of André De Shields, the Tony-winning Ambassador of Arts who has placed audiences under his spell from Hair to The Wiz to Hadestown and many stops in between.
