Last Squeak Tonight
Ordinarily, there’d be at least one video below to provide some fun diversion in the middle of the day. But today is going to be a little different as it’s just a link—however, it is totally worth the trip.
Last week on Last Week Tonight With John Oliver, host John Oliver’s main story was about Homeowner Associations, a subject that involves people…y’know…owning homes. But seeing as how that slice of the American Dream has been pushed ever further away for people born after 1988, the show decided to do them a solid and prepare an alternate main story. Like a whole other story that runs about 25 minutes.
This one was about the rise (and fall?) of Chuck E. Cheese, the biographies of the mascots involved, and the sordid financial routes from a small pizza enterprise to where we are today. It’s hilarious and insightful and fully worth your time so check it out.
