That Time Stephen King Went Off the Rails

Pushing Up Roses is a delightful channel that recaps/reviews/investigates all sorts of media—be it episodes of Murder, She Wrote, various point-and-click adventure games, or even the byproduct of a debilitating cocaine habit. That’s the focus of this video as the talented artist and commentator dissects Stephen King’s 1986 tribute to nose candy, MAXIMUM OVERDRIVE. It’s a totally bonkers movie that has some great promise, some genuine WTF-ery, and some unfortunate lulls (why is that gas pumping montage so long?!?), and all of it is discussed with tremendous style and wit by Ms. Roses.
